Planning is key the key to proper time management.Its difficult to feel organised and on the top the things if you're unprepared.Having a fixed plan for what all you have to do on the particular day seems very effective.It actually helps you to accomplish you goals.
Besides it mindset is also an important factor ,why people fail to work effectively.
Planning give a clear idea and prepares you mindset for the your pending tasks.
Choose your tools
Before going further , it's worth mentioning that you need to choose the right tools to make planning more effective.There are two most important things , I think are necessary to help manage your time well : a calendar/planner and a to-do list.
The planner can be digital or physical.If you're on a track for reducing screen time usage it's always better to use a physical one .
I would recommend a AMAZON BASICS DAILY PLANNER for the same.
Creating a daily plan
I usually create my daily plan the night before, so that I know exactly what to do when I wake up next morning.
Here's what I include in my planner ;
Creating your daily goals : This includes all the things you want work towards.
Basically you need to create a big picture of what all you'll do in your day.
Setting your priorities : These are the top things you need to work on throughout the day.
If you don't prioritise your tasks you'll get burnt out or feel disappointed that you were not able to outright
all the things mentioned in your to-do list.
Scheduling In
Once you've identified everything , you need to place all the things into your daily planner(whether be physical or digital) and allocate different time slots for every task.
You need to add everything to your planner so that you get a clear idea and a proper mindset for what all you need to do on the upcoming day.
Then you need to estimate how long your each priority will take and schedule it accordingly.
Soon you'll start realising that planning is a key to a very successful day. You'll start realising that you are more successful in accomplish you tasks and goals.
You'll save more time.You'll feel that your day has been productive throughout.
